Tooth Replacement
Losing a tooth doesn't mean living with a gap. An implant replaces the root and the crown, so you can chew, smile and speak with confidence again.
Is an implant right for you?
An implant is a fixed replacement set into your jawbone. It is designed to look, feel and function like a natural tooth, not just close a space.
Because it is fixed in the bone, an implant is designed to stay steady when you eat or talk. It also helps protect your jawbone and helps your face keep its shape over time. The upfront cost is higher than some alternatives, but it is made to last for many years.
A Complete Tooth Replacement
Implants restore both the root and the part of the tooth you see. We look at your X-rays, bone and bite first, so your plan is made for your mouth.
All-on-X Implants
When most or all teeth in an upper or lower arch are missing or failing, All-on-X can replace the whole arch using 4 to 6 implants. The result is a fixed set of teeth rather than a denture you take out. Ask us whether you're a candidate.
What Implants Can Do for You
How implants compare with removable replacements.
Feels Like Your Own
Care for it the same way you care for natural teeth: brushing, flossing and normal meals.
Blends Right In
We shape and shade each crown to match the teeth around it, so it doesn't stand out.
Helps Keep Bone Healthy
The titanium post fuses with your jaw, which helps prevent the bone shrinkage that usually follows tooth loss.
Implant Options
Single Tooth Implants
One titanium post placed in the jaw, topped with a custom crown. A fixed replacement for a single missing tooth.
Bone Grafting
If your jaw doesn't have enough bone to hold an implant, a graft can rebuild it beforehand. Your consultation will show whether you need one.
Careful Planning
We map out where each implant goes using your exam and X-rays, so the procedure follows a clear plan.
Implant-Retained Dentures
A denture that clips onto a small number of implants. You get the ease of a denture with far less slipping.
How Implant Treatment Works
Placement
After we finalize your plan, we numb the area and set the titanium implant into your jaw. This becomes the base for your new tooth.
Healing & Osseointegration
Your gums recover fast, but the implant typically needs 3 to 6 months to bond with the bone. We monitor your healing during this time.
Attaching the Crown
Finally, we attach a custom crown shaded to match your teeth. Your smile is complete again.
Common Questions
What does a single tooth implant involve?
It is a replacement for one lost tooth. We place a small titanium post in the jawbone and fix a custom crown on top. Because it doesn't come out, it feels steady and works much like a natural tooth.
What are implants made of?
The post is medical-grade titanium. The crown is custom made from impressions of your mouth, often from porcelain, which is durable and looks like natural enamel.
How long do implants last?
When placed well and cared for, implants can last for decades. The crown may eventually need replacing due to everyday wear. Routine checkups help both stay healthy.
Can an implant get infected?
It doesn't happen often, but poor cleaning can lead to an infection around the implant called peri-implantitis. Following aftercare directions and brushing and flossing daily keeps the risk low.
Will an implant prevent bone loss?
It helps. Without a tooth root, the jawbone in that spot slowly shrinks. An implant works like a root, sending chewing pressure into the bone, which helps it hold its shape.
How long is the whole implant process?
Usually several months from placement to the final crown, since the implant has to bond with the bone. Needing a bone graft adds time. We'll walk you through your timeline at your consultation.
